Eric grew up with a hightened interest in music and a deep love for Jesus. He taught himself to play multiple instruments and has a strong bluegrass heritage. He was called to preach when he was 20 and served in pastoral ministry for 13 years before he was called to music ministry with his family. He has a gift for songwriting and has written some of The Isbells most requested songs. He has a passion for youth ministry as well and is the founder and director of Camp Purpose. His goal is to follow wherever God leads and to continue to be a light for Him.
Growing up, Rachel always had a desire to share the Gospel through song, but never imagined she’d get to do so with her family. Her and Eric were married in the fall of ‘97 and have been in ministry together for 23 years. She has used her gifts in many different roles including pastor’s wife, homeschooling, and traveling. She has written several songs, sings the alto part, and enjoys sharing Jesus’ love with everyone she meets.
Autumn is twenty-two years old and was called to music ministry at a very young age. She began singing full time with The Isbells at age 11. She enjoys writing songs, plays several instruments, and sings the soprano part for the group. Telling others about Jesus and encouraging fellow believers through her musical gifts is her passion and calling.
Kaleb is twenty years old and has been in full-time ministry with his family since he was seven. He plays multiple instruments including guitar, mandolin, and drums and sings the tenor part. He is passionate about music, and enjoys using his gifts and testimonies to encourage others. He married his sweetheart, Abigail, November 18th of 2023, and they have recently become the youth leaders at their home church.
The Isbells have been traveling together full-time singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus for eleven years now. We have performed over 2,400 services including five consecutive appearances on the NQC main stage and have been guest on multiple syndicated Gospel Music programs including Daystars Gospel Music Showcase.
